I'm bringing another nail art contest your way and I hope all of you take the time to enter. I'm excited to see what you come up with! So what's the theme?
Monochrome Nail Art!
The technique of using different shades of a single color.
So it doesn't have to be black and white. (Although it could be!) It can be navy blue and periwinkle... emerald green and jade..... hot pink and pastel pink.... hopefully you get the drift. Just make sure that you stick to one color family, 2 shades or 50 shades lol, but as long as all of the polishes you use are in the same color family- you qualify!
Want an example?
Here I used a combination of different teals. Essie School of Hard Rocks, China Glaze Adore, LA Girl Glitter Addict Nostalgic. Also 3 image plates from the new Bundle Monster set 319, 322, 305. Here I just did a skittle look, but do any kind of nail art that you like.

ReplyDeleteLove your design! My favorite colours!
ReplyDeleteCould I maybe email you my design? I don't have a blog and I won't use a photo uploading site ever again. I understand if you wont allow it, but I just wanted to ask.
ReplyDeletesure, send me your pic
DeleteWow, love this design and the colors!! Teal has a special place in my heart <3
ReplyDeleteLook very cool :)
ReplyDeleteI'd also like to email you my design...Could you tell me please an account to send it?
ReplyDeleteMy email is listed on the right hand side bar under the "contact me" section
DeleteI've send it by e-mail ;) because I don't have a blog of my own
ReplyDeleteDoes it all have to be polish or can acrylic be used too? Acrylic is so much easier to use than polish os, so I'm just making sure it's allowed.
ReplyDeleteThat is addressed as the second bullet point under rules. The answer is yes. :)
DeleteOh, oops! Sorry, I didn't see it there. But thanks!
DeleteCan I enter a design I have done before, meaning not specifically created for this contest but still monochrome?
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! Your design doesnt have to be a new one!
DeleteHi :) I send you my design to your email because I have no blog. I hope you like it ;)
ReplyDeleteCan a design done in pink monochrome or something also use black and white? so could it be like light Pink, pink, dark pink, black, and white?
ReplyDeleteI'd rather you stick to true monochrome. But as long as the main thrust is the monochrome, just a few touches of black or white shouldn't hurt.
DeleteI have uploaded my nail designs to Facebook does it have to be one site you listed?
ReplyDeleteNo, that would totally work.
DeleteThis is an awesome contest! I love monochrome designs and have quite a few, wasn't sure which to pick. Thank you for doing this!
ReplyDeleteI was just going to post only my picture, but I feel I need to explain something.
ReplyDeleteMy camera has gotten super messed up since my 2yo son decided to drop it off our deck onto cement. So I had to use my cell, which couldn't pick up the design very well.
I did dark pink freehand tips with a thin strip of pink below that and a base of bright pink. On my accent nail I did a freehand butterfly. I hope the explanation makes it a little easier to make out the design, lol!

You must submit it using Inlinks. Hit the "Add your Link" button and fill in the blanks. I would just do it for you since you provided the link in your comment, but I don't know your email.
DeleteI just wanted to let you know a little about my entry just in case you look at it and it doesn't seem like a monochrome. I used a Del Sol (red to purple) over my purple mani, and the sun didn't cooperate when I was taking pictures, so it's still a bit reddish. If it gets disqualified, it's alright. :)
ReplyDeleteHas the winners been announced?
ReplyDeletehii :) you told who the winner is?
