I can't help but think of fairies when I think of glitter. So I focused on the 3 fairy godmothers from Sleeping Beauty: Flora, Fauna, & Merryweather. I wanted them to be surrounded by a cloud of glitter and I hope I succeeded.
The background color is OPI Crown Me Already, then I painted them with acrylic paints. Once finished, I topped them all off with what else? China Glaze Fairy Dust!

In the sunlight they really sparkle!

Blue is Merryweather

And this is what they looked like before I topped it with Fairy Dust. Do you think it would have been better left alone? Or was the Fairy Dust a good move?

ReplyDeleteThese, like so many of your character art nails are just outstanding! the glitter adds that extra Sleeping Beauty touch! Have not of course seen the new Julia R movie to know if it even has these characters in it - it seems to be a total spin off of the Disney classic. But these colored fairy godmothers I grew up with and knew their classic colors by heart. It was along with Sleeping Beauty and Lady & the Tramp my fav 3 Disney's - I grew up before all the newbies came along - I only had the classics and the original opening of Disneyland was my childhood time.
