Did you guess this one right? Flowers! How could I not do "Flower" from Bambi!? It was a perfect match.
You can also check out this other Bambi design I did a while back.
I started by painting all of my nails with Sinful Colors Black on Black. The middle nail is painted with SPAritual Eye of the Beholder with black acrylic paint already started for Flower's outline.
Then white acrylic paint. You can see I just splotched on the flower shapes on the non-"Flower" nail.
The rest I think is pretty self explanatory....
2 thick coats of Seche Vite to even everything out!
"Delicate" is next! Whatever shall I do? You'll have to wait and see! It's a good one!

ReplyDeleteAww, cute :)
ReplyDeleteWow, you are just rocking this challenge! I can't wait to see what you come up with next :)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I love how you made the flowers!
Really cute and it's tugs at my heart a little because it reminds me of the art work in Bambi which was the first movie I ever saw. Your ability to paint your shapes black first and work from what I would call (non artist that I am), a reverse to positive ground, really astounds me. To see your shapes in black first and then use that ground to achieve your amazing black line graphics is phenomenal! Love to know if you do canvas art work other than your nails as the canvas.
ReplyDeleteI've only painted a few things on canvases, mostly I stick to these small canvases!
DeleteSo far... this is my absolute favorite :) I love it and I actually think I may be able to paint the flowers on my own nails!
ReplyDeleteI do have a question. Do you paint both your right and your left hand with the painted designs? Just wondering... I am right handed and can't imagine painting with my left hand :)
I don't usually paint both hands (if I do, I'll show pics of both). I normally cant recreate something so detailed with my nondominant hand, so (if I had done both) I would have painted them all black with just one accent nail of flowers.
Deletegorgeous flowers! i love this
ReplyDeleteAww I loved Flower! So precious.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw this mani on bloglovin I just loved the flowers!! I was going to ask how you did them but then I read through the rest of the post, I will definitely be trying these, and tagging the idea to you of course! Amazing job on Flower too! :)
