SH Smooth & Perfect - Air

Sally Hansen has a new division of her line. This time it's called "Smooth & Perfect." Maybe you've heard about it, or seen some swatches? I hadn't, so I picked up the pastel blue because I'm a sucker for blues and wanted to try it out. :)

The claims:

"Hides ridges with a breathable, porcelain smooth finish. 

Promotes stronger, healthier looking nails.

Allows 20% more oxygen to reach nails.

Streak-free."

PROS:

 What's my opinion? It definitely is streak free! Usually light blues are troublesome, but this formula was different. It went on smoothly with each coat. The first coat was just a light, even wash of sheer blue. Each subsequent coat went on easily and heightened the opacity just enough. Pictured is 3 thin coats.

Porcelain finish? Hopefully you can tell in the pictures, but it's a nice satin finish that is not entirely matte, but not entirely glossy. It's a nice middle ground. (Of course it makes it super glossy if you used a topcoat to speed dry time)

CONS:

 Does it hide ridges? I don't really know because I don't usually have a problem with ridges. 

20% more oxygen to the nails? I don't know! How would you test this to even know? And is that a good thing? I guess. 

Does it promote stronger, healthier nails? I don't know because I've only worn it once. And does that mean over time it strengthens them? Or that it gives the appearance of healthier nails? Because it hides the ridges? I don't know, but the polish is very nice!

Dry time is only fair. It seems to dry a good bit slower than other polishes. Easily solved with a quick drying topcoat like Seche Vite.

I found my bottle at Wal-Mart for $5.24 which I feel is equal to it's worth. I definitely like this polish and will keep it because of it being streak free! That makes it phenomenal in my opinion and far exceeds other light blues that might be a mess. I do wish the dry time were better though.....
