I picked this polish up because I hoped it would be a less expensive dupe of Essie "A Cut Above" from the Luxeffects. I don't have it to compare, but it's close enough to satisfy my lemming. :) From pictures I've seen, it looks like "A Cut Above" has a high concentration of large pink glitters, while Sparkling has a higher concentration of small pink glitters. But that's ok with me!
This is 1 coat of Sparkling over 2 coats of Revlon Elegant that I showed you yesterday. This is my favorite way to wear this glitter. (I have it on as a full mani right now!)
Then I layered it over some other polishes to show you.
Thumb - Sinful Colors Snow Me White
Index - Zoya Dove
Middle - China Glaze Recycle
Ring - Essie Sand Tropez
Pink - Orly Nite Owl
Same colors, just no bottle. Lol
What do you think? Is this on your wishlist? And what do you think of Revlon duping Lippmann so much? I know she's probably unhappy.... but I'm grateful because otherwise I wouldn't be able to have these!

Wow, this is really pretty polish! =) LOOOVE it over Elegant! I would probably layer it over black or red, it's so beautiful! <3
ReplyDeleteAnd Lippmann... Well, I don't have access to Revlon, but if I had, I would buy them because they are so much cheaper. This way I buy Essence and it's still better. Sorry, but some polishes are just waaay overpriced in my oppinion...
I like how you used it over each different nail colour! :D
ReplyDeleteI've never seen this, gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHmm, not my cup of tea, but I do appreciate all of Revlon's dupes! I still want to own a bona fide Lippmann someday, but that won't deter me from buying all the dupes in the meantime!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this post! Great layering options!
ReplyDeleteOoohh...Pretty! I haven't seen this but I'll keep an eye out. Gorgeous color. I wish the glitter applied thicker. I imagine having to do many coats to get it to look like it does in the bottle. But I'm still going to pick this one up! lol
ReplyDeleteooo I like that alot!
ReplyDeletehehe I just got this polish too! It's wonderful! :)
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite polishes!! It is so great. You can wear it with or without other polish. But it makes your nails look super glamourous.

This Revlon glitter is much more fine particles than the Essie which is quite chunky (same as the Essie Silver shade in the Essie Lux Effects). Try using this Revlon Sparkling over any antiqued Rose or mauvy rose shade - there is one out now by Revlon called Cheers that is the perfect shade I am referring to. It gives you a great mani/pedi with the right touch of sparkle glitter without having to go over the top for workplace and also removal. Revlong Sparkling is also not as bright of a pink glitter as is the Essie LuxEffects pink glitter option (that's why I think the Revlon option is a better choice for work environment).
ReplyDeleteI love it with the camel colour. Gorgeous!! Regards
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty! It looks really nice on the ring finger colour. A Cut Above is definitely on my list, but if I can find this Revlon dupe before I decide to get the Essie, I will definitely snap it up.
ReplyDeleteAs far as the Lippmann dupes... I personally think her prices are way too high for what the polishes actually are. My nail polish budget is £10-11, but I don't buy them often. So it's good to see these Revlon - Lippmann dupes, because Revlon have never failed me.
Revlon has so many fantastic nail polishes. Whimsical, Copper penny, Girly,... Sadly, they aren't available in my country. Does anyone know a site where they sell these polishes AND ship internationally?
