"French Tip Dip" Here is a link to the kit I bought her.
I am a fan of french tips. Leslie gets frustrated with me for being "boring". I usually free-hand with a bottle of Lavender Cloud or a pen. I hate the tip guides, because I usually end up messing up one or more nails trying to take the guides off. So I was very skeptical about this product. It just seemed like another gimmick to get your money. (or MY money seeing as how I bought it for you!)
Here's a pic of the kit from their website:
The kit comes with a HUGE bottle of white polish, regular size sheer polish, and then a clear top coat. It also comes with this pink square with what looks like 4 different sizes of acrylics sticking out of it. You then pour some of the white polish into these little cups they provide and then dip the appropriate size pink square in the polish. The instructions provided give excellent technique tips on how to get polish on the square. Very detailed if you like that sort of reading. I, never one to start with instructions, just dipped it in there and then stuck it on my nail. I'm more of a try it out and see what needs improvement, rather than start with the instructions type of girl. So I did this and got the nicest french tip I've ever had on my nails. I don't know how it does it. It covers the tip perfectly. No gaps or rough edges. No blobs. I'm amazed. You did good with this one Leslie. (Finally! Something she likes!) It definitely saved me time on my manicure too. The polishes included seem to be of good quality. We'll see how long they last.
This is just the pic Kim sent me from her iPhone, we'll take a higher quality pic for you later.
So if anyone out there is thinking of purchasing this I would recommend it. If you would like to see pictures or tutorial just ask Leslie. She's better at that sort of thing and I'm sure she could arrange it. (With you as the guinea pig! We'll work on this in the next few days, her doing it while I take pics in tutorial form!)
P.S. Leslie left the invoice in the box and I saw that the kit is only $19.99. Not a bad price in my opinion. And I'm the cheap sister!
The website offers several different "kits." Some are more expensive, while others are a bit cheaper. Just go check it out for yourself.Pin It
