Studly

Hooray! 100+ followers! This started just for fun, I didn't think anybody would ever really read it!

This look consists mainly of a black & silver french tip, then a crazy studded accent nail thrown in there. Check it out:
I started with painting all my nails (except the one accent nail) with one coat of China Glaze - Fairy Dust. This is a clear polish with tiny holographic glitter in it. Then I taped off my tips and painted Sally Hansen Insta Dri - Silver Sweep (or China Glaze's Millennium) on the tips. I also painted my entire ring fingernail with silver. I waited for that to dry completely, then taped my tips off again. I tried to line it up to where just a bit of the silver would show. Painted them with Pure Ice - Black Rage. Then topcoat.
On the accent nail that was solid silver, I took my foiling glue and painted over the whole thing. Once it turned clear, I started adding the silver studs. I got these in a pack of 48 from Dollar Nail Art. When I was done, I only had 6 silver studs left over. So it took 42 to cover one entire nail! Once they were all on, I pressed down with my finger to make sure they were all completely adhered before I applied the topcoat.
I will most likely just use the topcoat next time to adhere the studs. The foiling glue didn't seem to be sticky enough. I don't know if it was drying faster than I was working, but they didn't stick on very well. If I hadn't used a topcoat over the tops of them, they would've fallen off very quickly.
A direct sunlight pic to show the holographic glitter on the base.

It's not a look for everyone, I got a lot of confused looks from people. It was definitely neat to try though!

  4. congrats on the followers darling!

i use seche vite to put on my stones, but when you're doing multiple it is kinda hard to get them all on there before it dries.
i think i'm going to pick up the clear xtreme wear next time i'm at walmart for that reason!

also, you should hit up ebay for some rhinestones! you can get way more on there for $1 than 48. you get like 1200!
i seriously have a problem with buying rhinestone/pearl/etc wheels on ebay. i keep saying "oh its just $1!!!" hahaha
